HOME Rehabilitation Program
Provides major home rehabilitation and lead abatement for homes within city limits of Battle Creek.
Eligible homes will receive up to $35,000 in home rehabilitation to increase Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS), will follow HUD lead based paint regulations and code compliance. Work on homes will have final inspections by City of Battle Creek Code Compliance officers, Community Development department and lead examiner for lead clearance.
This program is funded by the City of Battle Creek HOME Grant through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Requirements:
Low-income homeowners in the City of Battle Creek are eligible for this program. Property taxes and homeowner's insurance must be current, and proof of income for all household members and housing affordability must be reviewed.
